Job Description

Position Summary The International Flight Specialist supports Flexjet's International Trip Planning (ITP) team by reviewing, planning, and filing all international flights within ITP's scope. This role proactively collaborates with internal teams to ensure all flight information is accurate, timely, and aligned with operational requirements, enabling safe and seamless global operations. Duties & Responsibilities U.S.- based role supporting the Flexjet US fleet. Review international trips for the Flexjet US fleet and identity any contingency plans related to nonstop capability, airport/customs operating hours, and global events or restrictions. Plan, file, and update all international flight plans in accordance with ICAO regulations. Coordinate and collaborate with Sales, Owner Services, and other teams as necessary. Communicate trip capabilities, limitations, or operational impacts clearly to relevant international teams, ensuring awareness and alignment. Maintain accurate records of completed work and update internal resources or documents as needed. Report non-compliance observations for any potential safety, security, or quality issues. Make rapid decisions concerning safety, regulations, and capability of operations in dynamic or time-sensitive situations. Education & Experience Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in an aviation or logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. FAA Dispatcher Certificate preferred. Flight training experience preferred. Required Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with international aviation operations including, but not limited to, regulatory requirements, customs/immigration processes, airport coordination, ground handling, weather impacts, and ATC flow management. Strong understanding of aircraft performance and operational factors such as weather, weight and balance, aircraft operating weights, and runway limitations. Knowledge of FAR Part 91, 135, and/or 121 operational requirements. Ability to read, interpret, and explain aviation charts, diagrams, and operational publications. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to self-motivate, multitask, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, authorities, and external partners. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex itineraries and documentation. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly, especially under pressure. Proficiency with aviation flight planning software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency in English required. Schedule Front half / back half schedule Early morning to evening shifts. Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical Demands This job requires regular communication and the ability to assess conditions visually and aurally. Physical demands include prolonged sitting, typing, and use of office equipment, as well as occasional walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
