PAX Shed Specialist Hurricane Consulting Inc - 2.6 Fort Bragg, NC Job Details Full-time 20 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Primary Responsibilities Reports directly to the Shift Lead and oversees the operation of passenger shelters and associated training aids at the Air Deployment Facilities to ensure quality customer service and compliance with Defense Transportation Regulations and published standard operating procedures. Performs passenger service dispatch duties, maintains aircraft status boards, receives air mission set‑ups, and relays information on passenger processing and movements to the A/DACG Operations/Shift Leader, Troop Commander, and Ground Liaison Personnel. Conducts security checks to ensure all doors are locked, the facility is free from damage, and all facility accouterments are functional. Tracks inbound and outbound missions using the Global Decision Support System (GDSS) and/or Single Mobility Systems (SMS). Assists deploying units with air passenger manifesting and ensures the air manifest is legible with all required data. Provides passengers with flight information and delay updates. Responsible for the physical security of passengers in the passenger shelter and ensures the Troop Commander conducts the prohibited items briefing and performs the anti‑hijack inspection. Coordinates the processing and loading of personnel according to deployment plans and aircraft schedules in partnership with Air Force personnel, while verifying the names and numbers of passengers shown on the manifest match the assembled troops. Upon aircraft mission departures, ensures all paperwork is properly filed and accomplishes all other duties as assigned. Preferred Job Requirements High school diploma or GED (college or formal transportation training is a plus) Basic knowledge of transportation functions, programs, regulations, and guides based on training and experience to perform cargo weighing and inspection duties Knowledge of various classes of materials, including hazardous materials (e.g., flammable liquids and solids, corrosives, oxidizers, poisons, radioactive materials), to ensure proper packaging, marking, labeling, placarding, and accurate shipping documentation Ability to distinguish colors to identify hazardous material placards (red, yellow, orange, black, and white) Knowledge of safety and security regulations, methods, and procedures to maintain required standards affecting personnel and equipment loading Skill in written and oral communication to compose and present information in required formats Ability to operate Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) for airfield operations Ability to operate a motor vehicle to travel between administrative worksites and aircraft operations areas Ability to complete all other duties as assigned by section leaders and management Must be able to work overtime Must be able to travel to TDY locations
