Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Bus Driver to join our transportation team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including students, seniors, or community members, along designated routes. Your energetic and positive attitude will ensure a smooth, comfortable, and secure journey for all riders. Whether you're experienced in school bus driving, paratransit services, or commercial driving, your expertise will help us deliver reliable transportation with exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate buses and other commercial vehicles along assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness Communicate clearly with passengers, providing information about routes, stops, and safety procedures in English or multiple languages as needed Manage behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to maintain a safe environment for children, seniors, or other passengers Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with childcare needs or mobility challenges such as seniors or individuals with disabilities Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger questions and ensuring a friendly experience for all riders Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; appropriate commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, or commercial driving environments Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Experience working with children or elderly populations is highly desirable Ability to handle behavior management situations calmly and effectively Knowledge of safety protocols related to paratransit services or senior care transportation is advantageous Join us as a Bus Driver and become an essential part of our community!
