After-School Care Bus Driver Riverside Baptist Church Early Learning Center Hoover, AL Job Details Part-time Up to $16.50 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CDL Full Job Description Job Summary Join our team as an After-School Care Bus Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable transportation for children during after-school hours. In this energetic role, you will operate a 33 passenger bus, ensuring students arrive safely to their destinations while fostering a positive and secure environment. •You must have a CDL license and be a least 25 in order to apply•Duties Safely operate a 33 passenger bus according to traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Pick up and drop off students at designated locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and emergency stop procedures when necessary. Maintain discipline and ensure passenger safety by managing student behavior in accordance with school policies and behavior management techniques. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety, report any issues promptly, and perform light vehicle maintenance as needed. Skills Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, or commercial driving with a clean driving record. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and state/local commercial driving laws. Strong understanding of emergency response procedures for transportation incidents such as CPR, emergency stop procedures, and accident protocols. Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to respond quickly to traffic changes or unexpected situations.
