In this role, you will be responsible for operating buses safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service to our passengers. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our transit services and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Operate buses safely and efficiently according to established routes and schedules Ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout all journeys Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies Communicate effectively with passengers and respond to inquiries in a professional manner Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts Follow emergency procedures and respond appropriately to incidents or accidents Keep the bus clean and well-maintained throughout the day Manage time effectively to maintain on-time performance and schedule adherence Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, particularly those with mobility challenges Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license appropriate for bus operation Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience Demonstrated knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent time management and organizational abilities Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with passengers and colleagues Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance checks Reliability and punctuality
