Job Summary Job Summary The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly, efficient and professional manner: Drives a school bus or transportation vehicle over an assigned route in accordance with a time schedule. Boards and discharges student passengers. Transports students, staff and chaperones on field trips, athletic activities and other special trips. Enforces District Policies and procedures related to transportation and maintains discipline on buses. Maintain buses in a clean and safe condition. Follow a schedule in the performance of custodial duties required to maintain assigned rooms, equipment, building and adjacent areas in a clean, orderly and secure manner, Perform routine building maintenance tasks during periods of student recess Performs other related duties as may be assigned. TRAINING, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; a work history demonstrating dependability and reliability; good driving record; some previous custodial or janitorial work is desirable; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities; and the ability to qualify for District vehicle insurance.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATE
Possession of a valid California Class B Driver's License, California School Bus Driver's Certificate, accompanied by a current Medical Certificate (MEC), current First Aid Certificate, DMV Printout (Current H-6) and the ability to qualify for District vehicle insurance coverage.
REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATE
Possession of a valid California Driver's License, Class B; California School Bus Driver's Certificate, current Medical Certificate (MEC), DMV Printout (Current H-6)
