QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and be open to training in areas of need. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or equivalent; and one of the following: A. Pass the District Proficiency Examination at the level appropriate to the job classification. B. Received course certification in one or more essential functions. C. Possess two years of experience in a job-related field.

LICENSES

Possess and maintain a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license, plus previous safe driving record. Possess and maintain a valid California School Bus Driver's Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol. Possess and maintain a First Aid Certificate issued by the American Red Cross, or pass equivalent test given by the California Highway Patrol. Qualify for Bus Driver training as required every five years for renewal from a Bus Driver Trainer. Complete ten hours of inservice bus driver training annually in order to maintain a school bus driver certificate.
