Director of Operations ☐ Certificated Or ☒ Classified☐ Exempt Or ☒ Non-ExemptGENERAL SUMMARY
We are looking to fill a dual role position of a Campus Monitor who also is also a licensed school bus driver. This position include campus monitoring, observing and supporting students during lunch and passing breaks to ensure a safe, secure and comfortable environment conducive to student interaction and learning. Additionally, as a bus driver, driving to and from our two campuses and provide transportation for our athletics program after school hours.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises students during lunch / recess and passing periods, including enforcing school rules, school boundaries, and school behavior expectations
- Ensures a safe environment in the lunch room, school grounds and/or parking lot
- Works with other school staff to ensure sufficient level of supervision coverage in all areas of the lunch room, school yards, and/or parking lot
- Helps mediate and resolve conflicts between students
- Administers first aid as needed
- Helps keep the campus clean
- Identifies any major security or safety hazards and major repair needs in the recess area and ensures safety rules are followed
- Completes accident reports as needed
- Proficiently drive a full size school bus to and from campuses and afterschool athletic events
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and support of OCCA's mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving ability; good judgment
- Ability to interact appropriately with children of different ages Minimum educational level:
- High school diploma or GED Experience required: Licensed School Bus Driver Experience observing and supervising K-12 students helpful Physical requirements and Work environment: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds (cones, tables, equipment, supplies, etc.
