Sacramento, CA Job Details Part-time $28 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Passenger Endorsement School Bus Endorsement High school diploma or GED DOT Physical Certification Full Job Description What you will do Drive assigned routes on schedule, safely, and professionally Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain the inspection log Maintain an accurate rider roster and account for every scholar boarding and exiting Manage scholar conduct on board and report concerns promptly Keep the vehicle clean and fueled, and report maintenance needs Communicate professionally with families at stops Cover the opposite route when needed, by mutual arrangement 4 hours per day, 188 days per year, academic calendar Approximately 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday $28.00 per hour Complete the daily pre-trip inspection and run morning routes, bringing scholars to a Fortune School campus in a certified 15-passenger school bus. About us Fortune School is a network of tuition-free public charter schools serving scholars in Sacramento. We are launching our first scholar transportation program. You may apply for one route or both These are posted as separate morning and afternoon positions. You are welcome to apply for either one or for both. A driver holding both the morning and afternoon routes works 8 hours per day and is a benefited employee, eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage. Required at time of hire This position requires active certification. We cannot hire candidates who are not yet certified. Valid California Class A or B driver's license with passenger (P) endorsement School bus (S) endorsement Valid California School Bus Driver Certificate (DL 45) issued by the California Highway Patrol Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) First Aid and CPR certification, or a CHP waiver High school diploma or equivalent Three years of driving experience Also required Clean DMV driving record and enrollment in the DMV Employer Pull Notice program DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance via LiveScan Tuberculosis screening clearance Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment and ongoing random Mandated Reporter training Ten hours of in-service training annually
