Job Description

  • $26.25/hour fully licensed and credentialed
  • up to $7,500 Incentive Bonus
  • Experience Bonus - Operators hired with their CDL, passenger endorsement, and air brake restriction removed can qualify for a bonus of $3,000 to $7,500 based on their years of transit operations experience.
Tahoe Transportation District is hiring full-time Bus Operators to operate commercial public transit vehicles in the South Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Carson Valley areas. Duties include performing vehicle pre/post-trip inspections, record keeping, and providing safe and courteous service at all times. This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing, including pre-employment testing, reasonable suspicion, and random drug screens, in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Drug and Alcohol regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a team oriented professional interested in public service as well as an interest in winter sports, summer outdoor recreation, and scenery enjoyed throughout the year. Snow and ski resorts are a significant part of the area's economy and reputation.
