Job Description
Company Overview School District 27J is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and efficient transportation system for students and staff across Adams and surrounding areas. Overview We are seeking energetic and responsible Bus Drivers (CDL & Non-CDL) to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will operate school and transit buses, ensuring the safe and timely transport of students and passengers. Your dedication will help create a secure and welcoming environment for all riders while adhering to transportation safety regulations and district policies. 4 day work week Full time and part time position available Benefits eligible Summers off options Requirements (For CDL/Non-CDL) No experience required Must have a valid drivers license Must be 21 years of age Be able to work with kids of all ages Pass a Department of Transportation physical (DOT) exam CDL Drivers Paid CDL training Starting pay $25.52/depending on experience Non CDL Drivers Starting pay $22.44/depending on experience Bus Technician 12 month position available for technician High school diploma or equivalent; four years in medium/heavy duty auto mechanic/diesel training and knowledge of computers, airbrake and electrical. Four years in maintenance repairs; including medium/heavy duty diesel engines, knowledge in emissions, diagnostic and vehicle repair and maintenance required. Have good safety and knowledge practices in and around the shop, tools and others. Must obtain commercial driver's license (CDL), Department of Transportation physical (DOT) exam Must be able to obtain annual inspection certification within one year
