As a key member, you will be entrusted with operating a 40-foot bus for RTD, ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

$27.49 - $35.47 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale) Starting pay: $27.49 with progression to $35.47 over 8 years. $4,000 Sign-On Bonus — Offer valid through 05/31/2026 Pay raises twice per year

Key Responsibilities:

Operating your route safely and on schedule Providing friendly, professional customer service to passengers conducting vehicle inspections to ensure safety and comfort Being a reliable trusted face in the community Working collaboratively with dispatchers and fellow drivers Other duties as required

Qualifications:

19 years or older Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement or permit (full-time paid training for obtaining CDL) Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional) Excellent communication & customer service skills. Availability to work, day, evening, weekend, holidays and overnight shifts as assigned. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
