Job Description

Bus Driver Commerce City, CO Apply Now Bus Driver We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Commerce City, Colorado. As a key member, you will be entrusted with operating a 40-foot bus for RTD, ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

$29.14 - $40.47 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale) Starting pay: $29.14 with progression to $40.47 over 8 years. $4,000 Sign-On Bonus — Offer valid through 10/31/2026 Pay raises twice per year

Key Responsibilities:
Operating your route safely and on schedule Providing friendly, professional customer service to passengers conducting vehicle inspections to ensure safety and comfort Being a reliable trusted face in the community Working collaboratively with dispatchers and fellow drivers Other duties as required
Qualifications:
19 years or older Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement or permit (full-time paid training for obtaining CDL) Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional) Excellent communication & customer service skills. Availability to work, day, evening, weekend, holidays and overnight shifts as assigned. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
