Shine Bright After School Program Position Type:

Valid CDL Driver's License (Required) Position Summary Prosperity Social & Community Development Group Inc. is seeking a responsible and dependable Part-Time Bus Driver to support transportation services for the Shine Bright After School Program. The Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students from their schools to the afterschool program location and/or designated drop-off locations while maintaining a safe, positive, and orderly environment for all passengers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate the organization's transportation vehicle while following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Transport students promptly and safely from their schools to the Shine Bright After School Program and/or approved home drop-off locations. Ensure students are properly accounted for during pick-up and drop-off procedures. Maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly environment among passengers at all times. Monitor student behavior while on the vehicle and report any safety concerns or incidents to program leadership. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure the vehicle is safe and operational. Maintain accurate transportation records, including route logs, attendance records, and incident reports as required. Communicate professionally with program staff, parents/guardians, and school personnel. Immediately report any accidents, vehicle concerns, delays, or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor. Follow all child safety, confidentiality, and organizational policies. Minimum Qualifications Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must have a clean driving record and meet all required transportation safety standards. Experience transporting children or working in a youth-serving environment preferred. Ability to demonstrate patience, professionalism, and strong communication skills. Ability to maintain a safe and supportive environment for youth. Schedule This is a part-time position with transportation hours primarily focused on student pick-up and drop-off times for the Shine Bright After School Program.
