School Bus Driver Urban Youth Impact - 4.1 West Palm Beach, FL Job Details Part-time 22 hours ago Qualifications Route driving Pre-trip inspection protocols Automotive preventive maintenance inspections Mid-level Performing regular vehicle safety checks Dedicated driving routes Vehicle maintenance documentation Passenger pickup and drop-off Incident report writing Leadership Vehicle exterior washing Full Job Description The Bus Driver will safely and efficiently drive the UYI school bus in the mornings to pick-up and drop-off the Carver Christian Academy students, as directed by the Operations Manager. About Urban Youth Impact Founded in 1997, Urban Youth Impact is the only faith-based organization serving the most at-risk inner-city youth in Palm Beach County, primarily through an award-winning after-school program. They are loved through trusting relationships, equipped with academics to succeed in school, empowered with leadership skills to begin successful careers, their potential is expanded by discovering artistic and creative talents, and they are guided to discover their purpose in life.
Each week more than 300 inner-city youth are loved, equipped and empowered by this ministry and its funding partners through award-winning signature programs: Carver Christian Academy (CCA), The Leadership Academy (TLA), Reframe and CREATE.The primary focus is in neighborhoods identified by Children's Services Council as areas with the most at-risk children based on indicators such as poverty levels, school readiness, graduation rates, teen birth rates, percent of children on free/reduced lunch and the evidence of fatherlessness. Areas include West Palm Beach's Tamarind Avenue corridor and sections of Riviera Beach. Description Perform pre-trip inspection before each route and fill out documentation Drive the school bus to pick Carver Christian Academy students and bring them to and from school Along with the allocated CCA rider, complete the daily transportation form noting the time that the students were picked up and the time that they were safely dropped off Monitor fuel and fluid levels in the school bus and notify the Operations Manager of action to be taken Help maintain cleanliness of UYI vehicles, inside and outside Communicate all maintenance/repair issues to the Operations Manager Work with the CCA Rider to ensure that student related issues are reported to the Operations Manager, as well as the CCA Principal Prepare Incident Reports, when necessary
