Position Summary:

The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting children to and from local elementary schools and scheduled field trips while maintaining a safe, positive, and caring environment. This position also assists with ensuring children are safely loaded, unloaded, and accounted for at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Safely transport children to and from designated schools and the child care center. Follow all traffic laws, Florida Department of Transportation regulations, and child care transportation policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns immediately. Ensure all children are properly seated and supervised during transportation. Complete attendance checks before departure, upon arrival, and whenever children enter or exit the vehicle. Maintain accurate transportation logs and required documentation. Communicate any transportation concerns, delays, or incidents to the Director immediately. Keep the bus clean, organized, and fueled for daily operation.
