Bus Driver (part-time and substitute) Valor Classical Academy Kuna, ID Job Details Part-time | Full-time $23 - $25 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Two-way radios for driver communication Air Brake Endorsement Full Job Description We are a brand new charter school in Kuna that places equal emphasis on character development and academics, and that includes holding high standards for student behavior on the bus. Duties Drive morning and afternoon bus route. Maintain accurate records related to routes, ridership, driver certifications, and incidents. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure all drivers follow required procedures Monitor student behavior on buses and support drivers in maintaining a safe, orderly environment. Support the mission of the school by upholding its virtues and fostering an environment of professionalism and decorum. Skills High school diploma or GED. Hold Class B with P, S, and Air Brake endorsements. Have a clean driving record. Pass a drug and alcohol test, criminal background check, and DOT physical examination. Be willing to attend and satisfactorily complete at least 30 hours of training as required in the State Transportation Manual. Ability to use CB radio within the law of the FCC regulations. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Willingness to support and uphold the mission and values of classical education. Alignment with the school's culture of respect, responsibility, and virtue.
