Job Description
Company Overview Little Angels Learning Center is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized early childhood education for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. We focus on fostering self-expression, critical thinking, and social skills while partnering with families to support their children's growth and development. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated, responsible, timely and reliable, Bus Driver to join our team at Little Angels Learning Center. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe transportation of young children to and from our facility, adhering to all safety regulations and school policies. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will help create a positive experience for our children and their families. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses and paratransit vehicles according to traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations Assist children with boarding and exiting the bus, including wheelchair assistance when needed Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents and emergency stop procedures Maintain a clean, organized vehicle interior and report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children using clear English or multilingual skills as appropriate Enforce student discipline policies and manage behavior in a positive manner during transit Respond quickly to traffic changes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures while prioritizing passenger safety Experience Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, or transit bus operation Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations Experience working with children or in senior care is highly desirable Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for school or passenger transport Certifications in first aid, CPR, defensive driving, emergency response procedures for transportation, and wheelchair assistance are preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to manage behavior and provide excellent customer service Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform routine vehicle inspections as part of daily responsibilities
