Driver's License Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Safely operates the Community bus/van to transport residents to scheduled appointments and outings Assists residents on and off the vehicle, including operating the wheelchair lift as needed Escorts residents into and out of appointments, ensuring safe arrival and pickup Maintains a calm, professional demeanor while driving, supporting overall team performance and resident comfort Maintains cleanliness of the bus or vehicle, both interior and exterior Completes required forms and documentation for vehicle upkeep and maintenance tracking Receives and tracks resident transportation requests and appointments Coordinates multiple transportation requests per day, accommodating all requests in a reasonable and timely manner Plans and organize routes to maximize efficiency Communicates clearly and professionally with residents and staff regarding schedules and needs Follows all policies and procedures related to the community transportation program and resident shopping trips Intentionally builds relationships with each resident and their family to provide personalized, attentive service Engages with residents in a genuine, compassionate, and memorable way
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED equivalent Must hold valid driver's license A minimum of 21 years of age preferred with driving record in good standing Prior experience driving a company vehicle for resident transportation activities is preferred Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
