Bus Driver

Job Overview Reports To:

Transportation Director

Job Goal:

To provide safe and efficient transportation of students

Work Year:

176 student attendance days

Work Hours:

Morning and afternoon (approximately 2 hours during each session)

Salary:

Starting rate $25.00 per hour

Benefits:

IMRF provided and 10 sick days/1.5 personal days

Duties Performance Responsibilities:

Maintains assigned schedule Transports only authorized students Discharges students only at authorized stops Maintains discipline when students are on bus Obeys all traffic laws Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses Notifies the proper authority in case of equipment failure Keeps assigned bus clean and fueled Reports all accidents and complete required reports Follows all department procedures and policies outlined in handbook

Qualifications or Requirements/Perks:

To drive must have a valid Illinois Driver's License with CDL endorsement and Illinois school bus permit & pass criminal background check- WE
