Duties Safely operate the school bus on the designated route between our two campuses daily, and on field trips, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols Ensure the safety of all passengers by following proper behavior management and communication techniques Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify mechanical soundness and readiness of the bus before each route Communicate effectively with school staff to address concerns or incidents Maintain accurate records of routes, student attendance, and safety checks Respond promptly to any mechanical issues or emergencies during transit, coordinating repairs or assistance as necessary Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a school bus endorsement or ability to obtain one Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving environments, preferably with school buses or paratransit vehicles Knowledge of driving safety regulations and mechanical basics of vehicle maintenance Experience working with children is desirable Excellent behavior management skills to promote positive conduct among students during transit Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor Join us as a School Bus Driver and make a meaningful difference by providing safe transportation while engaging with children and fostering community trust.
