Immediately Job Description CDL Special Education School Bus Driver (Calendar Year)Start Date:
Immediate Responsibilities include:- Transport district special education students (and adult chaperones as needed) between home and school following an assigned bus route, as well as for school activities
- Assist students on and off the bus according to their individual needs, including emergency exit
- Monitor student behavior to maintain a safe environment
- Operate wheelchair lift, harness, and other special equipment safely
- Communicate with teachers, parents, transportation manager, and the Special Education Director as needed
- Perform daily safety inspection of vehicle(s) including fuel check, check fluid levels and report repair needs and complete incident reports as required
- Occasionally perform work beyond the standard 40-hour work week
- Maintain all licensing and certificates and submit to random drug and alcohol screenings
- Other job-related duties as assigned
