The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including children, seniors, and individuals with special needs, while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively while ensuring a positive experience for all passengers. Duties Safely operate a bus or paratransit vehicle to transport children to their designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical reliability. Maintain a clean and organized bus environment for children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff regarding schedules, routes, and any changes. Manage child behavior to ensure a safe and respectful environment during transit. Assist children with boarding and disembarking as needed, especially those requiring special assistance. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Document any incidents or issues that arise during transportation. Qualifications Valid Chauffer License) for bus driving. Experience in school bus driving or paratransit services is preferred. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Previous experience working with children or in senior care settings is advantageous. Customer service experience is essential for interacting positively with children and their families. Mechanical knowledge of vehicles is beneficial for performing basic maintenance checks. Ability to manage behavior effectively in a diverse group setting. Teaching or childcare experience is a plus for engaging with younger passengers.
