This full-time position is based at our Bus Garage, where you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers along designated routes while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and a passion for serving the community. Responsibilities Operate a bus along Route 10, adhering to established schedules and routes. Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the journey. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during the shift. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with disabilities or special needs. Provide information to passengers regarding routes, schedules, and fare policies. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly. Attend training sessions and safety meetings as required. Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Clean driving record with no major violations. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations. Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Physical ability to assist passengers and perform job-related tasks.
