Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary The PRN Bus Driver at Holy Cross Academy provides safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students on an as-needed (PRN) basis. This role supports the school's mission by ensuring student safety while transporting to and from school events, field trips, and activities in a manner consistent with a positive and faith-centered environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Safely transport students to and from school-related activities, including field trips, athletic events, and extracurricular programs
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Archdiocesan transportation guidelines
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions
Maintain order and appropriate student behavior while on the bus
Communicate effectively with school staff regarding schedules, routes, and any transportation concerns
Ensure accurate attendance and student accountability during transport
Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly according to school procedures
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle
Provide a welcoming and respectful environment for all students
Job Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements required
Clean driving record and ability to meet all Archdiocesan and state driving requirements
Previous experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle preferred
Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and safe environment requirements
Strong attention to safety and detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible, as-needed hours
Commitment to supporting a Catholic, faith-based school environment
