We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious, and high-energy Bus Drivers to join our transportation team. You aren't just a driver; you are a vital link in the educational chain, ensuring our scholars arrive safe, on time, and ready to learn. Role Summary As a School Bus Driver, you are responsible for the safe and orderly transport of students to and from school and extra-curricular events. Working under the direction of the Transportation Director, you will operate district vehicles in accordance with state laws and district policies. You will serve as a professional ambassador for FFSD, maintaining a positive environment on your bus and ensuring that safety is always the top priority. Why You'll Succeed (Qualifications)Certified Operator:
You must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a Missouri School Bus Driver's Permit.Educational Foundation:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Safety Mindset:
You are committed to performing rigorous pre-trip safety inspections and maintaining a clean, fueled, and road-ready vehicle.Physical Readiness:
You are in satisfactory physical condition with excellent vision (depth perception, focus, and distance) and the auditory ability to manage a busy bus environment.Relational Expert:
You have the ability to promote a positive relationship between the school and students, enforcing rules with a "firm but fair" approach that prioritizes scholar safety and wellness. Your Impact (Key Duties) Guardian of theRoute:
Navigate assigned routes with precision and care, ensuring students are transported in a safe and timely manner.Vehicle Stewardship:
Conduct daily operational and safety inspections of the bus as defined by State regulations; keep the interior clean and the tank fueled.Climate Creator:
Maintain control of student passengers by promoting a culture of respect and following the safety guidelines outlined in the Transportation Handbook.Communication Link:
Assist administrators, teachers, and parents in building a supportive community, reporting any unsafe acts or conditions promptly.Professional Excellence:
