Job Description
Driver School Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and related events, ensuring their well-being while aboard the bus, and maintaining order and discipline among passengers.

Their duties and responsibilities include:
Conducting daily inspections of the bus to ensure it is safe and well-maintained Driving students to and from school in accordance with a set schedule and route Following all traffic and corporation regulations to ensure student safety Managing student behavior and report any issues to the school administration Assisting students with getting on and off the bus, and crossing the street when necessary Keeping the bus clean and free of trash Administering first aid or emergency assistance when needed Communicating with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding any student concerns Completing reports regarding van incidents, delays, or accidentsQualifications:
Must be over the age of 21 (or older if the state requirement is different) Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations A clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Physical health and stamina to work long hours Excellent vision and good hearing Patient, responsible, and reliablePhysical Requirements:
- Climb and descend the bus steps 3 times within 30 seconds.
- Starting in a seated position, quickly exit oneself from an emergency door within 20 seconds.
- Carry or drag a 125 pound bag 30 feet in 30 seconds
- Repeatedly open and close a manually operated bus entrance door, operate hand controls simultaneously and quickly, have quick reaction time from throttle to brake, repeatedly depress clutch and/or brake petals
