62 per hour) The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant's years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position. Experience outside of this system may not be recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools' pay scale. Qualifications / Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and TB test before starting employment. Valid driver's license and driving record that qualifies employee to obtain and maintain a valid NCCDL and drive a bus as directed by supervisor. Must comply with all rules and regulations governing the safe operation of a school bus Must be able to tolerate bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pulling, pushing, and repetitive motion Prefer experience in food service Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to read, write and keep records Ability to perform simple calculations Must be able to tolerate exposure to extremes of temperatures Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects Knowledge / Abilities / Duties To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness Assist in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion Performs related duties as required including duties at special meal functions Maintain compliance with all applicable food safety and sanitation rules and regulations at all times, as detailed in HACCP. Reads recipes and directions for numbers of meals to be served Calculates amount of ingredients for number of portions to be served Measures and mixes ingredients Computes time to be used in preparing and finishing products on time Portions product into prescribed serving size Arranges food and supplies to retain sanitation and quality Notifies manager of equipment repairs needed Records material and supplies needed Safely transport students to and from school as needed Other duties as assigned by the CN Manager Application Deadline Open Until Filled Application Process All candidates are required to complete an on-line application via Applicant Tracking.
