Job Description

Position Overview:
Ensure the safe and timely transportation of Club youth, staff, and volunteers to and from the Boys & Girls Club facility after school. Provide transportation support for occasional local field trips during the school year and throughout summer programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate an activity bus or Club vehicle to transport youth, staff, and volunteers to and from schools, Club facilities, and approved off-site locations. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Club policies to ensure the well-being of all passengers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Maintain accurate transportation records , mileage, fuel usage, and incident reports. Ensure that all youth are safely seated and wearing seat belts (if applicable) before moving the vehicle. Provide a positive and respectful environment for youth during transportation, modeling appropriate behavior and conflict resolution when necessary. Communicate effectively with Club staff regarding pick-up/drop-off schedules or delays. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle interior; report any damage or cleanliness concerns. Support special trips during after-school hours, school holidays, and summer programs as needed. Respond calmly and appropriately in case of emergencies , following Club protocols and safety training.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Possess a high school diploma. Possess a valid "Class B" or "CDL Driver's License" with passenger certificate. Acceptable driving record. At least 21 years of age. Must pass required Drug and Alcohol testing. Must pass Background Check Ability to work with club members and staff in an educational and professional environment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision and in a self-sufficient manner.
