Full-Time Position Summary The Bus Driver / Yard Technician is responsible for safely transporting passengers while helping maintain the daily organization, cleanliness, and readiness of the bus yard and fleet. This position drives assigned routes and activity trips while assisting with fueling, staging buses, yard upkeep, and general fleet support to ensure vehicles are safe and ready for service. Main Responsibilities Drive assigned school routes, activity trips, and other transportation as needed. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any safety or mechanical concerns. Fuel buses and check DEF and other fluid levels. Move, park, and stage buses in the yard. Help maintain keys, cords, signs, safety equipment, and vehicle records. Assist with snow removal, salting, sweeping, and general yard upkeep. Help mechanics and office staff with basic fleet-related tasks. Maintain a clean, professional appearance of buses and the yard. Follow all company, state, federal, and DOT safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid CDL with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus endorsements, or the ability to obtain them. Acceptable driving record. Must pass required background checks, physicals, and drug testing. Dependable, safety-focused, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful but not required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Schedule This is a full-time position that includes split driving shifts, yard duties between routes, activity trips, and occasional overtime as operational needs require.
Pay:
$23.25 per hour
