School starts again at the end of August, and summer is the perfect time to get trained, licensed, and ready to drive with Valley Bus Grand Forks. Valley Bus Grand Forks is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers to safely transport students in the Grand Forks area. If you're looking for steady part-time hours, flexible scheduling, and work that genuinely matters, this is a great time to get started. When you drive for Valley Bus, you're not just clocking hours — you're helping kids get to school safely and starting your day with real purpose.
WHAT WE OFFER
Paid CDL training No CDL needed to start. We'll train you and pay you while you work toward getting licensed before the school year begins. Competitive pay $23.70 per hour to start. Part-time hours Approximately 20-23 hours per week, based on route assignments. Optional extra hours Opportunities to drive charters and field trips for sports, music, theater, and other school events. Busing is a key part of making these experiences happen. Motorcoach opportunities We also operate motorcoaches for charters and longer trips. Experienced drivers may qualify right away, and new drivers can work toward motorcoach assignments as they gain experience and training. Flexible weekday schedules Morning, midday, afternoon, and split shifts are available. We work with your availability. Charters and field trips may also run during nights and weekends. Daycare assistance program Available for parents with kids in daycare. Supportive, safety-focused team Join a team that looks out for each other and takes pride in keeping students safe.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes in Grand Forks. Keep students safe while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus. Maintain a clean, orderly bus interior. Follow traffic laws and company policies. Provide friendly, dependable transportation for students.
WHAT YOU NEED
Acceptable driving record. Ability to pass background, drug, and alcohol screenings. Reliable attendance and work ethic. Strong communication and people skills. CDL with Air Brake, School Bus, and Passenger endorsements If you only have a regular driver's license, that's okay. We will train and pay you while you earn your
CDL. SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday on school days. Variety of routes and shifts available. Approximately 20-23 hours per week. Charter and field trip opportunities may be available on nights and weekends.
