Operate the school bus over an assigned route, picking up and dropping off students at designated stops.

Performs pre and post trip inspections as required by federal and state law including observing visual defects and that safety equipment is in working order,

Maintain designated time schedules making every effort to be on time while ensuring a safe ride for students

Ensure all traffic laws and local ordinances are followed as outlined in the CDL manual, School Bus Driver Handbook, and School Board Policy

Upholds students discipline on the bus and implements rules for student conduct

Provide written reports or undisciplined students in accordance with the bus driver handbook and school district policy

Reporst all accidents/incidents immediately. Requesting emergency personnel services as needed; help injured persons until services arrive; and completes accident/incident written reports

Participated in all required training

Ensure the interior and exterior of the school bus is kept clean and all standards are met

Maintain a positive and courteous attitude

Communicates clearly and effectively with students and school administrators

Perform other duties/tasks as assigned

Education, Certification, and Licensure

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Commercial Drivers License (CDL) A or B is required
