Legacy Academy - CDL Bus Driver Position Overview Legacy Academy is seeking a dependable and safety-minded CDL School Bus Driver to provide daily transportation for students to and from school and to athletic events and other school-related activities. This role plays a vital part in supporting the daily operations of our school and ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during transit. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a school bus along designated morning and afternoon routes Transport students to extracurricular events, including athletic games and school activities Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safe operation Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment Adhere to all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and Legacy Academy transportation policies Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents in a courteous and professional manner Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the Fleet Manager or Operations Director Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements Clean driving record and strong safety record Previous school bus driving experience preferred Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability Ability to manage student behavior calmly and respectfully while maintaining a safe environment Must pass a background check and drug screening
Work Schedule Morning Route:
Approximately 6:30 AM - 8:30AM Afternoon Route:
Approximately 2:30 PM - 4:30PM Event Transportation:
Additional hours as scheduled for sporting events and activities (mostly afternoons/evenings, occasional weekends)Benefits
