Head Bus Driver Position Status:

Full-Time Reports to: Transportation Supervisor The Cairo-Durham Central School District has an Anticipated full time Head Bus Driver position available. This is a 11 month a year position with benefits.

Qualifications:

1. Must meet all New York State requirements to drive a school bus (Article 19A) 2. High School Diploma or equivalency diploma 3. Good knowledge of the geography of the District 4. Good knowledge of the New York State Motor Vehicle Law 5. Ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinates 6. Ability to keep records and make reports 7. Proficiency in utilizing routing software (Transfinder), email, Google & Microsoft 8. Ability to get along with others 9. Dependability 10. Good customer service & communication skills

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of full-time school bus driving experience. Licensing Valid NYS CDL Class B with P (Passenger) and S (School Bus) endorsements. Civil Service This is a Non-competitive appointment under the Hiring Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program Interested candidates should apply by April 13, 2026
