BRECKSVILLE-BROADVIEW HEIGHTS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT VACANCY CLASSIFICATION VACANCY
Substitute Bus Drivers
INITIAL ASSIGNMENT
Transportation
ANTICIPATED HOURS
To be determined
SHIFT:
Monday through Friday or Daily
STARTING SALARY
$22.00 A Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required, as the District w ill train the selected candidates. Qualifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED) State of Ohio Commercial Driver's License with School Bus Endorsement (preferred) State Department of Education Basic School Bus Driver Education Program (preferred) Must be insurable Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work effectively with others Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing Practical, active listening skills Organizational and problem-solving skills Basic first-aid procedures Knowledge of relevant Ohio laws and regulations Knowledge of traffic laws Ability to listen for mechanical defects, view engine compartment for defects, and distinguish the color of lights Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, written warnings, and labels Ability to handle emergencies Ability to interpret gauges and dipsticks for oil and transmission
