BUS DRIVER/DISTRICT CUSTODIAN MAINTENANCE

Reports to:

Transportation Supervisor, Director of Operations Job Objectives:

Provides for the safe, efficient, and courteous transportation of students. Keeps the transportation supervisor informed about bus activities and emerging issues. Provides technical expertise and manual skill in all aspects of custodial duties. Installs, inspects, services and repairs building systems and fixtures. Keeps the Director of Operations informed about maintenance concerns and emerging issues. Performs substitute custodial duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Meets all mandated health requirements.
• A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Satisfactory pre-employment drug-screening test. Complies with drug-free workplace rules.
• Keeps current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job functions.
• Has prior building maintenance experience with demonstrated ability to repair and maintain building systems and fixtures. Experience in commercial-sized buildings or schools preferred.
• Ability to interpret and comply with building codes, accessibility guidelines, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
• Valid commercial driver's license with a school bus endorsement (or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire) and a satisfactory driving record.
• Available to respond to building and/or service emergencies.
• Proficient in preventative maintenance procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply blueprint and schematic diagram information.

Bus Driver/District Custodian (Maintenance) Effective immediately 7.5 hrs/day 8:30 am - 4:30 pm daily 257 day contract Class 8.5 Hourly rate range based on experience

Pay:

$23.62 - $29.40 per hour
