Job Summary Gloria Ainsworth Child Care & Learning Center is seeking a dependable, safety focused Afternoon Bus Driver to safely transport school-age children from local schools to our child care center. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, enjoys working with children, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Operations Manager Schedule:
Monday-Friday Typical afternoon hours: 2:50 PM - 4:00 PM Additional morning hours may be available as needed to provide transportation coverage. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely transport children from local schools to the child care center. Follow all Oklahoma DHS Child Care Services transportation regulations and center policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate transportation and attendance records. Ensure children are safely loaded, secured, and unloaded. Maintain a clean and safe transportation vehicle. Report maintenance concerns, accidents, or safety issues immediately. Communicate effectively with families and center staff. Provide a positive, caring, and professional experience for every child. Qualifications Must be at least 25 years of age. Valid Oklahoma Driver License with an acceptable driving record and valid insurance. Must complete all required Oklahoma DHS Child Care orientation and annual training requirements, including the same required trainings completed by classroom staff. Must successfully complete 15-Passenger Vehicle Driver Training before transporting children. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Previous experience transporting children is preferred but not required. Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented. Physical Requirements Ability to safely assist children entering and exiting the vehicle. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit, drive, and remain attentive for the duration of transportation routes.
Pay:
$15.00 per hour
