Job Description

Metro Christian Academy, a private Christian School located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, seeks a seasonal Activity Bus Driver to safely transporting students to and from school-related events and activities.
Work Schedule:
This is a seasonal position, August-May, with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on school events and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport students to and from school events and activities. Monitor and maintain appropriate behavior and discipline of student passengers in accordance with school policies. Observe and obey all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip safety and operational inspections. Ensure the bus is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working order. Responsible for the direct care of children. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to properly operate a school bus safely and efficiently. Ability to follow state and local traffic laws and regulations. Ability to follow designated routes and to adapt to surrounding traffic. Ability to observe and report safety hazards and need for maintenance and repairs. Ability to read and navigate from visual and written maps. Ability to think quickly and critically and use extreme caution while driving. . Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to make independent judgments within proper policy and procedures during stressful situations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of bus driving experience (preferred). Valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement. Clean driving record. Ability to pass a Department of Labor (DOL) medical physical.
Pay:
