Qualifications:
High School diploma or high school equivalent required Bus Driver's license / CDL license required Supervisory references preferred Positive employment history preferred SLED/criminal background review required Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Salary:
$18.20 per hour base salary with opportunities for over-time •A negative TB test result must be on file prior to starting work

Job Status:
"At-will" Employee, subject to random drug and alcohol testing and pre-employment screening. Responsible to: Director of Transportation
Job Duties:
Obeys all laws. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses. Maintains discipline when students are on bus. Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority. Keeps assigned bus clean. Keeps to assigned schedule. Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects. Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness. Discharges students only at authorized stops. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips. Transports only authorized students. Reports all accidents and completes required reports. Provides time, mileage and route reports as requested by supervisor. Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus. Checks the bus before and after each trip. Adheres to district drug/alcohol testing policy and procedures. Reports any condition which may jeopardize safe transportation.
