Job Description
The Madeira School is an independent, college preparatory, boarding and day school for girls grades 9-12. Located in McLean, Virginia on a 376-acre wooded campus, Madeira is 12 miles from the center of Washington, DC. Madeira's ambitious academic curriculum emphasizes both content and skills. Madeira was founded with the vision of leading innovation in girls' education and the mission of launching women who change the world. Madeira School is seeking a part-time driver for the upcoming school year to transport students in the Washington Metropolitan area. Drivers will utilize school vehicles which include minivan, highlander, 11-passenger van and 14-passenger buses. The anticipated schedule is 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday during the school year. On an as-needed basis, a driver may have an opportunity to pick up additional driving hours and provide support for security including walking campus and supporting the gatehouse as well as providing general support to a variety of offices throughout the Madeira community. The position may include lifting up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid driver's license; clean driving record
- Familiarity with region required
- Background check required
