Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking responsible and flexible individuals to join our team who enjoy transporting youth safely on 15 passenger mini-bus and being part of a team to engage youth, teens and young adults in community events encouraging them to have a voice in their community. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Candidates with experience in school bus driving, van driving, delivery driving, commercial driving, shuttle driving, or paratransit are encouraged to apply.
Hours/Days :
Monday-Friday 2:30 pm to 8:00pm Responsibilities Safely operate a 15 passenger mini-bus according to scheduled routes and times. Ensure the safety of all passengers while boarding, riding, and disembarking the vehicle. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle environment for passengers. Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding routes, schedules, and any delays or changes. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining punctuality. Assist passengers as required during boarding and disembarking. Report any incidents or accidents immediately following company protocols. Qualifications Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Possession of a current valid driver's license for the class of vehicle to be driven and be 21 years of age or older. Drivers must possess an acceptable driving record and pass the motor vehicle record check. Three years of experience in the operation of a motor vehicle, Skilled in the operation of a mini-bus or equivalent. Must be able to pass Virginia Criminal Record check. General knowledge of the geography of the city and the location of streets. Skill in the safe operation of a bus and ability to detect malfunctioning equipment. Ability to assist children using patience and understanding. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, parents, associates and club members.
