Job Description

Position Summary:
The Posting Specialist position reviews and enters all Patient and Insurance payments for Valley Sleep Accounts. This position ensures proper posting of payments and denials with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure accounts that will be reviewed for outstanding receivables are entered timely and efficiently. This position is responsible for the daily posting and reconciliation of all payments received electronically and other means. Correspondence from the post office will be retrieved, sorted and distributed with confidential information and posting of checks received in the mail.
Primary/Essential Job Duties:
  • Check mail daily and route to appropriate location. Confidentiality a must.
  • Post, deposit and reconcile all payments received through mail from Patients and Insurance companies
  • Deposits checks to the Bank
  • Post, deposit and reconcile all payments received by Insurance through electronic receipts
  • Post all denials received electronically and through the mail
  • Post payments received through other software such as POS, Care Credit
  • Coordinate with the Director of Patient Services and the Director of Finance for accurate daily reconciliation
  • Utilize analytical skills to review posting issues or identification of denial trends while posting in order to report irregularities to management and evaluate opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Maintains current knowledge of and adhere to payer and regulatory guidelines for medical insurance claims processing and reimbursement.
  • Performs other duties as required.
