This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a range of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tanker trucks, while adhering to all safety and transportation regulations. Your enthusiasm for driving and logistics will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers, maintaining efficiency and reliability every step of the way. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers to complete delivery routes efficiently. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety compliance. Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, with precision and timeliness. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Manage logistics cargo handling by securing loads properly and performing routine vehicle inspections before and after trips. Document delivery activities accurately, including mileage logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to update delivery statuses and report any issues encountered during routes. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving or truck driving within a logistics or transportation environment. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight management for various cargo types such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods. Proficiency in route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient deliveries across diverse locations. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and confidently. Familiarity with commercial truck driving regulations, including FMCSA guidelines and DOT compliance standards. Experience with refrigerated trailer operations and handling temperature-sensitive freight. Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload tasks while maintaining safety protocols.
