Job Title:
Part-Time Parking Attendant Job Description This part-time role involves supporting evening and weekend parking operations by collecting payments, issuing tickets, and monitoring multiple parking lots. You will work primarily outdoors, ensuring a smooth flow of vehicles while accurately recording basic information. Responsibilities Collect and record parking times for vehicles in an accurate and timely manner. Print and issue parking tickets for cars as they enter or park in designated areas. Enter basic data into a cell phone or mobile device to track parking details. Check and monitor three parking lots regularly to ensure proper use and compliance. Walk through assigned areas to observe parking activity and identify any issues. Provide clear and courteous communication to drivers when needed. Follow established procedures for handling parking information and documentation. Essential Skills At least 6 months of work experience in any role. Basic clerical skills, including handling simple records and documentation. Data entry skills with the ability to enter information accurately into a cell phone or mobile device. Ability to walk for extended periods while monitoring multiple parking lots. Comfort working independently with minimal supervision during assigned hours. Reliable time management to cover scheduled evening and weekend shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in customer-facing, clerical, or parking-related roles is beneficial. Familiarity with using smartphones or mobile applications for basic data entry. Strong attention to detail when recording times and issuing tickets. Work Environment This role is primarily outdoors and involves regular walking while checking three parking lots. You will work part-time night hours, including Thursday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with possible extra hours during town events downtown. Expect to use a cell phone or mobile device to enter basic data and to print tickets as part of your regular duties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Billings, MT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
