Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mail Carrier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to designated routes. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our customers. As a Mail Carrier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that communications and packages reach their intended destinations safely and on time. Responsibilities Deliver mail and packages along assigned routes in a timely manner. Load and unload items from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of all materials. Operate various types of vehicles including vans and box trucks for transportation of mail. Utilize pallet jacks and other equipment as necessary for moving heavy items. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status or issues. Follow all safety protocols while driving and handling packages. Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation. Skills Experience with route driving and familiarity with local areas is preferred. Ability to lift heavy packages regularly, demonstrating physical strength and endurance. Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks for loading/unloading tasks. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Previous experience as a courier or in a similar role is advantageous.
