Role:
The Transitional Employment Office Assistant performs, under direct supervision, basic and routine duties. Assignments are structured and performed with direction and assistance from others; they require carrying out established, standard guidelines that cover work situations and alternatives. May recommend changes in procedures and forms, but the position does not have the authority to alter the operations themselves. This position includes eligibility for a monthly performance bonus.
What You Will Do:
Answer telephone, take and transfer messages; screen individuals and calls; answer standard questions, and refer those requiring significant interpretation, as directed, to the appropriate source. Receive hard copy records, sort, and file alphabetically or numerically in compliance with existing systems. Operate photocopier, fax, and associated office machines Open mail and distribute as directed. Assist in contacting customers to obtain information to solve problems, errors, or complaints. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by supporting agency collection policies and procedures; assure client understanding of service charges and fee changes.
