Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dependable Final Mile Delivery Driver Helper to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you will assist experienced delivery drivers in ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries to customers' doorsteps. Responsibilities Assist the delivery driver in loading, unloading, and securing packages within the vehicle using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary Help carry packages from the vehicle to customers' residences or businesses, often involving heavy lifting and moving items of various sizes Support the driver in navigating routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety protocols Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering basic questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience Help with route planning and organization to optimize delivery sequences and improve overall efficiency Maintain safety standards by following proper lifting techniques and operating equipment like manual transmission vehicles, box trucks, or courier vans responsibly Assist with documentation such as delivery logs, load & unload records, and incident reports as needed Experience Previous experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided Warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures is a plus Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and moving items safely and efficiently Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmissions is advantageous Customer service background that emphasizes professionalism and positive interactions with clients Knowledge of route driving techniques and familiarity with tools like pallet jacks or forklifts is beneficial Valid driver's license suitable for operating driver vehicles, with a clean driving record preferred Join us to be part of a fast-paced team dedicated to delivering excellence!
