Duties Safely operate a cargo van to pick up and deliver goods across designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, heavy lifting skills, or equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure all shipments are accurately documented. Maintain a clean, organized vehicle to promote safety and efficiency during daily routes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns. Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures during route driving to ensure safe transportation at all times. Experience Previous delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving in a courier or box truck environment preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with clients. Experience working in warehouses or logistics environments involving moving, heavy lifting, or forklift operation is advantageous. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and commercial driving regulations is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using tools like pallet jacks or forklifts when required. Demonstrated reliability in adhering to schedules while maintaining safety standards on the road.
