Job Description
Definition and Role The Mailroom Processing Specialist is responsible for organizing and distributing mail correspondence among departments within MedCentris. Serves as support staff for remote staff. This role reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle. Job Responsibilities and Duties Receive, sort & scan all incoming mail including packages by department and category Receives and distributes communication Print & mail documents in daily work que Prepares documents and any other items for shipping Weighs mail and calculates correct postage Notify providers of all wound care consults Arranges pick up for postal and other delivery vendors Maintains inventory on mailroom supplies Operates office equipment Maintain confidential records and files Type correspondence, reports, and other documents Scanning, filing, and faxing documents Performing other duties as required Back up to main home office receptionist Education Requirements High School or equivalent Experience working in an office setting Previous mailroom or office setting experience a plus Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
