Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including trucks with manual transmissions, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time pickups and drop-offs across multiple locations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to verify safety standards and report any issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and route records for compliance and tracking purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical challenges. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver with knowledge of route driving best practices. Strong driving skills with expertise in operating vehicles. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while following safety protocols. Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and the aqbility to lift up to 50 lbs of mail bins. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan optimal routes using GPS or mapping tools.
